About eleven years ago, Dolores decided she wanted to share her love of photography with fellow pet lovers. Being the happy owner of a Pug by the name of Mugsey, she took her cameras, and a mobile studio that encompassed some lighting equipment and a few backdrops, to the annual Pug Party; a get together of like minded Pug owners sponsored by the local Pug Rescue, and offered Pug Portraits to all that came. Thus was the beginning of Mugshots and Pawprints, a mobile portrait studio for pets. But it didn't stop there.

Dolores wanted to continue doing what she loved and expanded the little business into what is known today as Creative Portraits by Dolores. These days Dolores enjoys capturing some very special weddings around Albuquerque and surrounding areas such as Los Lunas, Belen and Santa Fe and building strong relationships with those brides and their families at the same time. These relationships have matured and led to further portraits sessions as their families grew. Maternity and newborn portraits which led to small family shoots. Its all been so gratifying to watch the portrait studio grow.
